Resigning Employment

How much notice do I have to give?

Under the Public Service Award you need to give one month’s written notice or the period of notice specified in your contract of employment.  A shorter notice period can be negotiated with your employer, however if no such agreement is reached and you resign with less than required notice period in your contract then you could forteit $500.
